Soup for A Thousand

1 elephant, freshly butchered
2 bushels of potatoes
1 bushel of carrots
1/2 bushel onions
1/2 bushel celery
salt and pepper to taste

Chop elephant into bite sized pieces. Simmer for 24 hours in 5 gallons of beef broth.
Add diced vegetables one hour before serving.

If you have more than a thousand guests and need more soup, add a squirrel.
